Cutting of aluminum parts
Aluboot has two fully automated, computer-controlled cutting machines that can cut aluminum. Still, a wide range of other materials can be cut into slabs to CAD/CAM-specified shapes in almost any thickness.
Cutting is done using an ultra-high pressure watercutter. The advantages of this cutting machinery are:
no heat dissipation, so no deforming of the material around the cutting edges;
high accuracy and shape stability;
no hazardous fumes or flying residue from cutting;
smooth and sharp cutting edge.
The customer (mostly specialized yards) supplies a CAD/CAM drawing, from which Aluboot will generate the necessary mappings, nest the different parts, generate the cutting control file, and perform the actual cutting.
Aluboot will deliver the specified quality material up to a thickness of 150 mm. Cutting aluminum, steel, plastics, and even glass is possible.
The total cutting length and time spent on the file preparations and the cutting process will make up the total project price. The nesting and conversion of the CAD/CAM files into a nested cutting file will be calculated as extra work based on time spent.
